Look another hotel room

But the hotel was right on the beach! (and next to the Zaandvoort race track).

We had stopped in Einhoven on the way and the Ladies had done a bit of shopping. J. and I waited in a Cafe :-) .

We also stopped in Haarlem before we got to the coast. Now that really is a nice little town. First taste of the famous Dutch cuisine at a 'Fritjes' bar.

Super sunny weather

but a chilly wind! We took off along the beach looking for our first beer. Every 50 meters or so there was another beach bar with glass wind breakers. It was just a question of deciding on which one!
We made a little tour of Zaandvoort before finding a very good fish restaurant on the beach.
The food was great! Holland really has changed!

Maastricht treaty

After a great meal and a good night, we took a look at some of the boy racers practising on the Zaandvoort track before setting off back to Germany.
Holland isn't a big country but it seems like it when you can only travel at 120km/h on their motorways.
A beer stop in Maastricht - another nice old town - on the way home.
It was great weekend.
